Mission: S0E0: What Came Before
Location: Canopus Station, Station Administrators Office
Timeline: Sometime Inbetween

Welcome To A Universe Of Adventure!

On behalf of a coordinated partnership with the Longjump Project, Risa-Disney Corporation, and the Briarwood Colony Corporation, we’d like to welcome you to Carpathia! This magical frontier of the Federation is teeming with mysteries, adventure, and spectacles for the entire family!

Situated 4500 lightyears from the heart of the United Federation of Planets, it is but moments away thanks to the Phase Space Accelerator that facilities instantaneous travel to and from the Messier 4 star cluster. This cluster of stars orbits around our home galaxy beyond the bounds of the Galactic Barrier, giving you once in a lifetime views with every sunset!

But just because you’ve travelled to the final frontier, doesn’t mean you’ve left civilisation behind! Risa-Disney’s five-star luxury resort and spa, opening in the fall of 2401 Earth standard, can provide for every palate and species in the most comfortable of ways! Relax by one of seven pools situated around the resort complex! Or while away a lazy day at one of the twenty-five bars and cafes on the main mezzanine level! Try a Carpathian Cappiconno: it’ll blast you to another galaxy!

And don’t forget the evening! When Carpathia goes behind its parent gas giant, the hues of the massive world spin Carpathia into something the locals call Dream Time! This magical moment can be captured to its full effect in the award-winning Sisko’s Bar and Grill, where locally grown and sourced produce meets refine Alpha Quadrant dining expectations! And for the kids, there’s always Desert Dessert Bar to keep them distracted!

If you’re the more adventurous type, curated tours of the Carpathian desert can be booked through the hotel spa’s concierge AI! Sandboard down dunes a kilometre high! Trek through the arid salt peaks to enjoy a handmade picnic drone delivered to your location! And in partnership with the Longjup Project and the Starfleet Science Department, small group tours of the subterranean lakes can be had to see machination of the ancient Prior civilisation’s terraforming infrastructure!

We know you’ll have a great time in Messier 4!

See you out there!

Benjamin watched as the holographic pixels shivered out of existence, and the lights of his office came up to their usual brightness. On the other side of the desk was sat two people from the Risa-Disney Corporation, as well as a Ferengi. They weren’t here, their holographic avatars beaming into his office via the Phase Space Array. A call had been made to some Federation council member, who had then called the aide to an admiral, and before you knew the Commander in Chief of Starfleet had personal sent the missive that Ingram was to make time for the presentation.

Five and a half minutes of drivel, with the production values of a record-breaking holodeck extravaganza. It was utter fiction, but as a way of duping people into investing in the idea, it looked good enough.

“No,” Ingram said to the three. He then waved a hand over his desk, cutting the connection before they could say anything else that might waste his time.

A hotel.
On Carpathia.
Whatever next?
